Love eggs but miss having them on Phase 2 of the HCG Diet?
The good news is you DON'T have to live without your poached, boiled, over hard, scrambled or favorite omelet!
Although we’re supposed to limit ourselves to lean cuts of beef, poultry, fish, and seafood on protocol, we CAN have eggs as an alternative. I just love that we can prepare them any way we like and still lose the weight.
How many EGGS are We allowed to have?
Strict protocol only allows 100 grams or 3.5oz of lean protein. If you're confused about just how many eggs that is, I'll break it down for you.
The HCG Phase 2 Egg breakdown: 1 whole egg + 3 egg whites.
Separating the whites from the yolks can be a bit tricky - I have become quite the pro at separating the two. (Perhaps I can provide a post on that in the near future). There are some HCG'ers who prefer to purchase egg whites in a carton which provides the precise serving sizes. While they have reported great success with this, I personally don't recommend this; I stay away from any pre-packaged foods but even more-so when on protocol.
Eggs can be used to replace your protein at lunch or dinner. AND , You should only have them occasionally. Eggs should NOT be consumed at every meal and definitely NOT more than once per week.
As a matter of fact, Eggs should only be eaten as a last resort, when having difficulty tolerating the suggested protein options or if you need to have something quick to go.

So, if you've been craving omelets for breakfast, it is more than OK to make yourself an omelet with either spinach, asparagus, onions or tomatoes to get your 2 cups of veggies to go along with your protein at lunch or dinner.

Egg days are the best!
Each time I did one I was amazed by the results! My egg days have generated at least a 2 lb loss the following day AND unlike 'Steak Days' or 'Apple Days' you can eat eggs all day long...
...BUT only eggs.
I recommend doing an Egg Day only when you have experienced a two day stall.
Here’s how to do it:
Take your drops as directed
Have your regular HCG approved coffee/tea/water with lemon for breakfast
At noon, You can begin to have eggs according to hunger throughout the day
NO Carbonated drinks
AND, don't forget to drink at least 2 liters of WATER!
Once you would have successfully completed an egg day you CAN expect at least a 1-2lb loss at weigh in the next day.
